Keenberg’s High Tech Humanist Philosophy is central to the Practice’s work. Rigourous attention to detail and active collaboration with consultants, manufacturers and suppliers enables us to stay at the leading edge of architectural design.
IKOY‘s design philosophy has been carefully developed and refined in projects encompassing a broad range of building typologies. Our reputation has been established with such award winning, state of the art facilities as:
National Archives of Canada, Quebec
School of Information Technology and
Engineering (SITE), University of Ottawa
William Davis Computer Research Centre,
University of Waterloo
Keenberg’s philosophy of holistic integration can also be seen in the operation of IKOY‘s design studio – a large open space, shared by everyone and free of subdivisions to encourage good communication between the people who work there. Meetings are held within the studio space – clients can see their buildings being crafted by IKOY‘s team.
IKOY has been the recipient of five Governor Generals Awards and Medals for Architecture, and winners of over 5 national design competitions including the National Archives of Canada, Quebec.
IKOY was recently awarded the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s inaugural Firm Award in recognition of the outstanding body of work produced in the last 15 years.
